Who is Baptist World Aid Australia?
Baptist World Aid Australia is a not-for-profit Christian organisation, committed to empowering the world’s poor to lift themselves out of poverty.
For 50 years we have been serving poor communities both in Australia and overseas through SAO Children, Commit to Community projects and through relief and support in emergency situations.
Baptist World Aid Australia recognises that people living in poverty are trapped because they lack access to adequate resources and opportunities. Our work is designed to address this – equipping poor families and their communities to tackle to root causes of poverty affecting them and enjoy the life of well-being that God intends for them.
New Vision and Mission Statements
Towards the end of 2009, Baptist World Aid Australia’s staff and Board began a process of revising our Vision and Mission statements to reflect the way we have developed as an organisation and our goals for the future.
We hope you too will see our vision for the future and that you will join us in our mission to make a difference as we strive for this goal.
