Emergency Relief

Every year, natural and man-made disasters cause massive destruction and human suffering in the developing world. While some of these events make our news in Australia many remain silent tragedies that don’t receive the support needed to help those whose lives are dramatically affected.

Baptist World Aid Australia’s Emergency Relief Fund exists to provide immediate funds for relief in these situations. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we maintain a reserve of funds to use immediately when disaster strikes.

As part of a worldwide network of Christian agencies, we are able to provide funds to trusted local partners working in affected areas when these situations arise. Generally, these funds contribute not only to people’s immediate needs, but also aim to help individuals and families re-establish their homes and livelihoods in the months and years following a disaster.
